THE PALO ALTO Planning and Transportation Commission has voted. 6-1, to approve a zoning change of for proposed mixed-use "downtown gateway" project. The change--to a "planned community" zoning designation--paves the way for the 64-foot project that would otherwise be to tall for its location.
