Worker participation pact reached with big EU firm

An agreement on worker participation was signed recently with the European company Allianz SE in Munich, marking a new milestone for Europe's trade unions. For the first time ever, a large corporation-employing 160,000 workers in almost all EU member states-expressly agreed to a system of management comprising significant and mandatory worker participation.
